A potential customer opens ChatGPT and types: "what is [your company]?". What comes back? Until now, the only way to know was to test it by hand, one AI at a time — and the result changed depending on whether web search was on.
Now SEOWrench shows it to you, right inside the report. In three steps:
What the feature does
In the GEO block of any audit (Agency plan), each engine tab — ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude — has an "Ask {AI}" button. Click it and SEOWrench sends the question to the real model, with web search on, and brings back that moment's answer, the date/time and the sources the AI consulted.
See it in action
An example with our own site, seowrench.com (dogfooding):
💬 "what is seowrench.com?"
asking ChatGPT with web search…
ChatGPT: SEOWrench is a technical-SEO and AI-readiness (GEO) audit tool: it flags and prioritizes your site's issues and shows what ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude can read from your pages.
Sources: seowrench.com · real and dated
Why it matters
Our technical GEO answers one question: can the AI access, read and interpret your site? The real voices answer the next one: and what does it actually say?
The gap shows up fast. In a test with a software studio, Perplexity confused the company
with a coffee shop of a similar name — a classic entity-clarity problem (missing
Organization schema + sameAs). Without seeing the real answer, that kind of mix-up goes
unnoticed. With it, it becomes a fixable item.
Honesty is the method
This is what sets us apart: we don't make up what the AI says. We query the real AIs — using each engine's own web search, the way a person researching your company would — and show the answer exactly as it came back: dated and with sources. If the AI can't find your site, we show that too.
And we hold the same line as always: an AI's answer changes over time and doesn't guarantee a citation. No one can promise that — anyone who does is selling hype. What we deliver is transparency: what each AI really sees and says, today.
Each tab also shows how that AI reads (which crawler it uses, whether it runs JavaScript) and your brand clarity (whether the site declares its entity) — the technical factors that explain why the answer came out the way it did. Grok and Perplexity join soon as real voices.
Exclusive to the Agency plan — see what the AIs really say about your site.
